I’m very pleased with my Sytong PM03-35 thermal sight which I’ve been using for several weeks now. I’ve mounted it on a Ruger American Predator .223. Prior to buying it, I’d been using a Sytong HT-60 night vision sight. The HT60 worked fairly well, but sometimes it was hard to see the target when scrub in the foreground reflected the infra-red light. The thermal sight gives me a much clearer outline when there there is grass or light scrub in front of the scope. I have never used any other type of thermal sight before, but I have used two different thermal monocular viewers, and the image through the Sytong is as least as clear as the best of the viewers, if not a little better. I’ve taken out for several hunts on farm land and have bagged hares, possums and a very big red deer. Now I’d love to get another one to mount on my .22. I’d been very tempted for a couple of years to get a thermal sight, but they have been very expensive and it is hard to justify that sort of expenditure for pest control when my night vision scope and even a plain spotlight have worked well for me. When I found I could buy a new one under $3k, I could not resist it for long. I’m glad I bought it.
